This is an emerson model am-169 from 1937. Cabinet is of ingraham design, and the wood over the grille is shaped into what emerson called its miracle tone chamber. Cabinet is in beautiful shape with a glorious wood grain finish. 3 red inlay stripes across the base fo the cabinet make this radio further stand out.
Radio is just sa good inside as it is outside. There are 6 tubes in this set (one is a ballast tube), and the chassis has been fully restored. It has been cleaned, lubricated, and all capacitors have bene replaced with their modern equivalents. As a result this radio sounds great across both the am broadcast and shortwave bands! This set is truly one that will look and sound great in any quality radio collection.
